Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani on Thursday met former Congress president Sonia Gandhi at her residence, 10 Janpath.
The Reliance chairman presented Gandhi with an invitation card to wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant which is set to take place on July 12, news agency ANI reported.
The upcoming wedding is a beautifully planned affair, steeped in traditional Hindu Vedic customs. The main ceremonies kick off on Friday, July 12, starting with the auspicious Shubh Vivah, the wedding ceremony. Guests are warmly invited to immerse themselves in the festivities by dressing in elegant traditional Indian attire.
The celebrations continue on Saturday, July 13, with Shubh Aashirwad, followed by the grand finale, Mangal Utsav, or the wedding reception, on Sunday, July 14. Guests are requested to attire themselves in ‘Indian chic’ for this special occasion.
Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant, is poised to join the Ambani family, marking the union of two prominent industrialist families. Prior to this, in a touching display of generosity and community spirit, the Ambani family initiated the wedding celebrations for their son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant by organizing a ‘Samuh Vivah’ (mass wedding) for more than 50 underprivileged couples from the Palghar area.
The ceremony was held at the esteemed Reliance Corporate Park and was attended by nearly 800 guests, including family members of the couples, local social workers, and community representatives.
The Ambani family commenced the event with traditional enthusiasm and a heartfelt commitment to serving humanity.
Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, expressed her joy, saying, “I am filled with happiness seeing the newlywed couples gathered here… My blessings go out to all these couples. The auspicious wedding ceremonies of Anant and Radhika start today with this mass wedding event.”
